Gabe joined Makao Investments in 2025 as an Investment Analyst. He brings experience in derivatives trading and risk management, having worked as a Commodities Risk Analyst at Wilmar Trading, where he built hedging models and monitored P&L across global commodity markets. Prior to this, he was an Investment Helpdesk Consultant at Hargreaves Lansdown in Bristol, supporting clients with investment strategies and account management.

He holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Auckland, majoring in Finance and International Business, and is currently a CFA Level 3 candidate.

Originally from Wellington and raised in Auckland, Gabe has a lifelong connection to New Zealand. Outside of work, he enjoys basketball and the gym, while also pursuing freediving and spearfishing along the coast.
