Tavis joined Makao Investments in 2023. He is involved in all aspects of our investment advice and provides analytical support to our performance reporting and fund manager research. He brings a fresh perspective to the team, coming from an engineering background.

Tavis has a Bachelor of Engineering with Honors from the University of Canterbury and has experience as a Structural Engineer. He has passed Level I of the CFA program.

Tavis grew up in Hawkes Bay and has family there as well as in Auckland. He now lives in Mt Albert Auckland. In his spare time, Tavis enjoys playing golf and surfing.
